From 22 to 24 April 2026, VR DigiVET organised a study visit in Brescia and Bergamo, Italy, for VET teachers and instructors from Albania.
The visit was designed as a key capacity-building activity under Work Package 4, supporting the transition from theoretical training to practical application. Participants arrived in Bergamo and were transferred to Brescia, where the first day was dedicated to networking and informal exchange.
On 23 April, the programme officially started at AGF Digital Academy, where participants were introduced to the objectives of the study visit and to the latest developments of the immersive platform developed within VR DigiVET. In the afternoon, the group visited Carraro Lab in Brescia, where they explored School 4.0 environments, ITS Academy laboratories and immersive “Meta Reality” solutions.
On 24 April, participants visited Bergamo Sviluppo, where they had the opportunity to learn more about the connection between digital skills, employability, entrepreneurship and innovation. The interaction with start-ups was particularly valuable, helping participants understand how digital competences can be applied in real business and professional contexts.
The study visit strengthened participants’ practical understanding of immersive technologies and increased their confidence in applying digital and VR-based approaches in their own teaching practice.
